Chacktors. Teef.

Piglet: [wanders into office gnashing teeth, holding tractor magazine*)

Me: Piglet, what's wrong with your mouth?

Piglet: Teef. [smack, gnash] Chacktors teef.

Me: You have tractors in your teeth?

Piglet: Yeah!

Me: How did that happen?

Piglet: [holds up magazine missing corner] Teef. [wrinkles nose]

Me: [sigh, stick finger in mouth to dislodge magazine shards from teeth]

Piglet: Chacktors! [runs off, brandishing magazine]

*Piglet is obsessed with construction and farm equipment. Pop B (my dad) lovingly sent him a John Deere catalog which he all but sleeps with.

Reflux, lubrication, and stones.

Things are cah-RAZY around here! Took Little Piggie to the pediatrician this morning to determine why he falls asleep soundly only to start screaming bloody murder 3 minutes later when laid in his bed. Turns out....reflux again! Minus the barfing and weight loss, thank goodness. So, we're back in the Prevacid game. At least we're familiar with the condition.

My dad was out here last week entertaining Piglet to the fullest degree. So full, in fact, that they both required two hour naps in the afternoons. The best moment came when my husband left my dad in charge of both (!) boys for about twenty minutes because there was an intense need for a beer run. Dad was holding Little Piggie and Piglet wandered off to explore. What he found was the Vaseline with which I've been coating LP's bottom. Scooping out a big handful, he thoroughly lubricated his hands, arms, and face before coming out to show my dad his handiwork with a large blob of Vaseline clinging to his forehead. Needless to say, dad lost his babysitting privileges.

Lastly, I get to have my kidney stones blasted apart tomorrow. The upside is that I will get about four hours of drug induced sleep. The downside is that there is possible bruising, a side effect in which you feel as though you have been in a wreck, and a subsequent passing of said kidney stone pieces.

That's about all the update I can muster right now. Sorry for the random lame postings.

So...

My grandmother died on Sunday. I'll refer you to my sister's blog for a well-written summation of who she was. Be sure to tell Katie happy birthday since she had to spend her 3oth at the funeral.

Note

I'm aware that I don't watch quality TV as it is, but when I spend time nursing a baby, I really start to search for stuff to watch. You know what I'm really hooked on right now? Reruns of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. And I really like it. I'm pretty sure I've lost at least 30 IQ points in my last 3 years of chronic gestation and lactation.

Whattup?

I am here. Sorry for not posting. I'm hoping that most people know that having a newborn who eats, say, every 90 minutes or so does not leave much time for posting. Major events: umbilical cord and circumcision fell off, Little Piggie got first bath, Little Piggie has peed on own head three different times already, Piglet likes little brother, but is beginning strange behaviors such as napping on floor or in chair, found out I have a 10mm kidney stone that has to be blasted up with lasers, said stone is made of some composition that indicates metabolical cause, not something I'm eating, diagnosis has left me confused, will find out more next week. Hopefully things will settle soon and I can return! Mwah! Kisses all around.
