My New Addiction...and Things to Do Whilst I Surf

So, this whole Blog Explosion thing is strangely addictive and kinda fun. I really like finding interesting or funny blogs to read while I pass my mandatory 30 seconds to earn my little point or whatever. Unfortunately, there's also a lot of heinously boring blogs out there. Business Strategies? Buy My Body Piercings? Roleplaying in the 1700's? Here's a Picture of My Yard? (I know, I know. I put Gus pictures up, but he's CUTE! and funny all elaborately strapped into that muzzle.) I'm particularly annoyed by the sites masquerading as blogs, but really they're selling stuff.
But, when someone gives you lemons, you should make lemonade. I'm developing a whole new set of skills! First, I can almost to the second tell you when 30 seconds have passed without looking. Just think how convenient that could be in, say...cooking? Timing a foot race? You never know.
I have also mastered a set of tasks that I can complete within 30 seconds in case I hit a lackluster blog. I can write a check, put a muzzle on a dog, check my email, read a page from a book, grade a paper, or organize my pens! Each within 30 seconds!
There are other things you can do more continuously betwixt reading blogs, such as make a grocery list, plan your week, write an email, upload some pictures, or call your mom. The possibilities are endless! This new venture has given new meaning to time management and its perks are reaching far beyond my blog. Imagine the lucky soul who is in need of a timer and instead, they come across...me!

Wow! Imagine all the things you could do if you didn't even have to read all those blogs! ;) I know, I know, I am addicted too.

most of the blogs are pretty neat so i don't mind spending the 30 seconds even if it's just to borrow (er, did i say steal? ) ideas on presentation :)

WOW! You can call your Mom and be off the phone in 30 seconds? Kudos to you! My Mom is at least a 30 minute call....of course that means while she's talking I can surf 60 blogs :)

Ah! Very clever, Nate. I'm new to BE, so I'm still learning the tricks. [Click 638 to continue]
And Cat, you're right, that was what I meant about the mom talk. 60 blog clicks while talking. Poor wording! (Sorry mom!) [Click 66 to continue] See? This comment took one minute. Wow.

I hope you hang out at my blog a little longer than 30 seconds (and pay attention)!! I know what you mean though...sometimes those 30 seconds are the LONGEST 30 seconds ever.

Dear Ginny, congratulations. You have found my super-secret East-Coasters only non-blog/journal. You must never tell the Red Squadron, for if they knew my secrets, terrible things would occur. Also, bonus points for confusing the hell out of me. I read the profile and for five seconds I was like "Susan has a blog..?" Then I realized that it was not Susan but her Sister/you: Ginny. Not GEENIE-GENNIE-JEANIE-JEANY-GENIE as I had been spelling your name in my head for the time up until now.

Wait, no. I'm still horribly confused: You are the bizzaro sister of Susan. Susan's sister is older than her. You are too young, according to your profile. Her sister only has one dog, named Cash. You do not mention Cash, but instead talk about Gus. Susan's sister teaches at a high school (Anderson), and not an elementary school, as you do.

Zwah? Red Squadron? Huh? Me thinks you have the wrong person, but I have so enjoyed reading your ponderances!

Oh no, I have a new addiction, thanks to you and BE. After I used some of my credits tonight, I had two random commenters show up and say HI. I guess the site really works! Something new to do at work when no one is looking!

You are doing it right! I usually open another windeow, check e-mails, check other websites etc., Blogger has a list of it's own that you can just click on so thats good. The one thing I hate more than the religious, political, fairy and elves blogs, are the masquerading ones. Blueech!
