Do you know I am actually excited about television coming on tonight? American Dreams and Desperate Housewives are my two favorite shows on TV and they both come on on Sunday night. Unfortunately, Sunday night always - no matter how old I get - will be homework night. About 7pm I get that sinking feeling in my gut when I realize the weekend is fading away and I have to get up at 6am and go to work. I have to make my stupid lunch and pick out my stupid clothes and go to bed at a reasonable hour, at which time I will not be able to fall asleep because I slept in on the weekend and stayed up too late. However, the knowledge that American Dreams and Desperate Housewives will be on is comforting to me and helps me to plod through the misery that is a Sunday night. And if I am busy ironing for the week and laying out my clothes, TiVo is there for me like a trusty friend. Then I get to skip the commercials too. What more could I dream of?
