Pigpen is turning two on Thursday! I'm telling you now, as I am going to have company for the next week. Mr. Pigs and I are also celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary on Wednesday. Hey, did I mention Father's Day is on Sunday? We're like one big jolly Hallmark greeting card around these parts.
Pigpen is celebrating turning two by acting, well.....two. About two weeks ago, he started asking, "Why?" after every remark anyone dares to utter. He's also mastered the full-on back arch coupled with the double fisted floor pound when he doesn't get his way. He climbs on tables, reprograms the DVR, and screams, "Nooooooooo! Self! Self!" when you try to help him do anything. He's 80% unpleasant, but 20% hilarious, and to borrow a fitting line from my friend Carla, he's as cute as a bug's ear. (Totally unbiased opinion, of course.)
Piglet's hanging in there too. His big life events right now are learning to swim without his floaty vest and trying to go all night without peeing in his Pull Up. I'm pretty sure he's going to be swimming full laps first, but a boy's got to have goals. Oh! And a couple of days ago? I headed to the bathroom and Piglet ASKED IF I WANTED PRIVACY! I'm not lying even a little bit. I almost cried right then and there.
Preschool ends this week and it's going to be a looooooong time until September. Our entire summer routine is a mix of the gym, the pool, and the yard. Luckily, they never seem to tire of these things, and there is a beach trip coming up in July that will get me through that. If I haven't mentioned it before, the pool is a lifesaver. I'm 99% sure that I use the pool more than anyone else in the neighborhood. I am getting as much of my money's worth as I can and probably a couple of other people's too. Do you like all the statistics in this post? I assure you they are completely valid and error-free.
That's about all that's new around here. I wanted to touch base before my barrage of company begins arriving. Oh, by the way....can you let me know if you're having trouble with my new commenting system? It seems kind of wonky. Drop me a line at whenpigssing at yahoo dot com. Thanky!

I know we've pointed out these similarities before, but it bears repeating:
Rowan turns 18 months old on Thursday. Our 5th anniversary is Friday. And of course, Father's Day is Sunday. Yeah. Busy weekend ahead!
Happy Birthday/Anniversary!
We are also working on keeping pull-ups dry at night, which it helps that Drew won't drink water unless we force him, so with the heat he's probably getting a little dehydrated, and thus keeps his pull-up dry. So I'm partly thanking the weather for our pseudo-success.
I can't believe that Pigpen is turning 2! The time does fly. Hmm! Enjoy celebrating his birthday, your anniversary and father's day! By the way, I always want to put you guys a year ahead of us. We just celebrated 9 years at the end of May :)
You did get all the cleaning finished up, right? No?
I’m writing to suggest the addition of www.school-counselor.org as a resource on your website/blog. This website provides helpful insight into the field of school counseling for those who are performing their career exploration or simply interested in learning more.
Hope this is helpful
